CITADELS SERVICES CORPORATION, the operator of the Citadel serviced facilities, has issued a press release which says it will start service on Saturday and run until the end of March 2019.
The company says its service will be available to anyone with a credit card, even those with no credit history.
It also says it is offering a new option for people who have a credit history but are unable to make the journey to the terminal to obtain service.
It says anyone who wishes to access the facility from outside the US or Europe will need to visit a Citadela branch in New York City and have a card swipe.
This is expected to be a relatively short wait time as it has been a long time since CitadELS services have been used.
In a press conference held this week, CITADA said its service would be available from 6.00am to 4.00pm on Saturday.
This means that any visitor who is not on a plane or travelling from a non-Citadel base can access the service from within New York.
CITADS has said it is working with other service providers to ensure a smooth and seamless service.
The release says it has made the decision to increase capacity from 50,000 people per day to 200,000 per day, as the system is currently overloaded and needs more help.
It said its staff will work to get the facility serviced in time.
The news comes just weeks after a similar event at the US National Airport in Atlanta.
A US Customs and Border Protection official said on Monday that they were taking orders from US residents to use the airport terminal in New Jersey as a hub for processing of visa applications.
The official, who did not want to be named, said: “We’re very excited to see how people’s use of this terminal will be.”
