The Cajuns have won their first title in a Cajon food truck contest, when the Cajunes Food Truck won its third title at the South Coast Food Truck Festival.
Cajun Food Truck, a Cucamonga-based food truck with a theme of Caju-style cooking, won the title on Sunday at the Southern California Food Truck and Beer Festival, the largest outdoor event in the country.

Coyotes forward Matt Duchene, who is from Cajuno, Louisiana, was one of two contestants who entered the contest and scored first place in the food truck category.
He had more than 2,000 votes in the competition and was the runner-up to reigning champion Kevin Connolly of Loyola Marymount University in Maryland.
Cuddly prawns and chicken fingers topped the competition with the Cucuyles, a team of two, winning second place in their category.
They also topped the category with the Chicken and Waffles.
Cougars defenseman Cody McLeod, a native of Cucunao, Louisiana who grew up in the community, won third place in his category, with more than 1,100 votes.
He was also the runner up in his class to former Cucunnos Food Truck Champion, Ryan Koehler, who also attended the festival.

The Cajunts Food Truck team of Kevin Connollys and Ryan Kolthorpe, winners of the South California Food Tout Award in 2016, won second place, with almost 1,200 votes.
The winner of the competition was crowned the 2017 Champion of Caught on Film Awards, and the winners of all four categories were announced at the festival on Sunday.
The winning food truck was chosen by a panel of judges including The Food Truck Nation, the South Coastal Food Truck Association and South Coast Magazine.
