NEW YORK — Matt Prater, the Jets’ third-round draft pick in 2015, has signed a two-year deal with NFL Network to be a part of its NFL Network coverage, according to a source with knowledge of the agreement.
The deal, which comes on the heels of Prater becoming the latest player in the NFL to sign with the NFL Network, will pay Prater $2.6 million a season in base salary, $2 million in incentives and incentives for game day appearances and $250,000 for appearances on the NFL game day show.
The agreement will be subject to a team’s acceptance of Praters signing bonus.
Prater’s contract will have an average value of $2,200,000 in guaranteed money and $1.6 of each of the $3.9 million in per-game incentives, according the source.
The Jets have not signed a player in free agency since free agency began in July.
